Sea of Thieves Fan Art - Chest of Whispers

Original Idea & Concept Art owned by Rare, designed for Sea of Thieves. All credit goes to the Original Concept Artist and the Development team. Modeled in Maya, Sculpted in Zbrush, Textured in Substance Painter and finally Rendered in UE4.

I was inspired to create this chest from seeing it withing the Official Art Book, I loved the idea and atmosphere surrounding the mysterious chest so I wanted to take a shot in the dark and do something i'm not particularly familiar with. Considering the chest isn't actually in the game, I took it into my own hands to see if I could create the chest with the Sea of Thieves Art Style in mind. Overall this was a fun little project that I completed over a couple of days, had some learning curves here and there but it was great to see the chest come to life in the end.
